The Music Ministry of Boulevard Baptist Church exists to:
- Glorify our God and Exalt our Savior through Spirit-filled music
- Lead believers in worship and praise
- Allow believers to use their God-given talents to serve Him
- Train musicians to enable them to offer their best service to God
- Evangelize as the lost hear the gospel proclaimed through music
Scripture tells us to, “Speak to one another in psalms, hymns and spiritual songs.” (Eph 5:19)
We organize the following choirs:
Worship Choir is open to all high school and college students and adults interested in leading worship. They offer a choral number each Sunday in a wide variety of styles and seasonal musicals at Easter and Christmas. Rehearsals are Wednesdays from 6:15-7:45 p.m..
Handbell Choir meets each Sunday at 5:00 p.m.. during certain seasons of the year and provides worship music periodically. We prefer participants to read music and be regular in attendance. See Martha Garrison, director, if you are interested.
We have a Praise Band that plays Praise and Worship music.
We form duets, trios and quartets from our singers and hear soloists in worship on a regular basis. Occasionally we have Brass and String groups that perform for worship.
